Spring Break 2010
We didn't do any one standout thing this spring break, but we did a lot of little fun things. We visited the zoo, went to the beach for an afternoon, picked strawberries one day, met Stephen for lunch downtown in the underground tunnel system, went bowling, had play dates, ate dinner with friends, and rented a bunch of movies. We stayed up late and slept in late, and we all (some more than others) were ready for school to start again by the end of the week. (Oh wow, Summer is just around the bend and just this one week was exhausting!)
Here are some pictures of the week's events.

Grandparent Bonding
It is great having my mom and Stephen's family close by for bonding between our children and their expansive, extended family network! Recently, little Emme spent a couple afternoons with Stephen's parents (Grandma Sarah and Grandpa Terry as they are called in our home) and increased her bond with them. She has been rather reluctant around them since she was born, so we decided that some quality one-on-one time would help cure that. And it did.
Just this past weekend when we were all gathered at Stephen's parents' house, Emme was confidently strutting around the house and giving many hugs and kisses to Grandma Sarah and Grandpa Terry as a result of her special bonding time. Here are a couple of before and after pictures from the one-on-one time that Emme spent with Stephen's parents.

We love our extended family and are richly blessed by their close proximity!
