Back to School!

Two middle schoolers and two elementary kids back at their old schools with their old friends and loving it!  One mom working as an aid full time at the kids' elementary school.  And one dad teaching seminary and working long hours.  Going to be a packed and exciting school year!

3rd Grade and 2nd Grade!

8th Grade and 6th Grade!

Excited to be working at CWE!

Missing two days of his first week of seminary because of a court case in Washington D.C.

Facetime and texting keep us connected long distance when Stephen is traveling
Stephen spent most of his time in DC in the court house, but he did get to take in a Nationals baseball game and an early morning run with his co-counsel, where they wound their way through the monuments, the Capitol, and near the White House.  The Lincoln Memorial is pictured here.

6 mile run through historic sites and spaces.  The Washington Monument is in the background.

Washington Monument up close.

Last Gasps of Summer

We went to Pointe West for an afternoon this weekend to squeeze one more summer activity in before the start of school.  We were watching a super cute two year old of one of our friends for a few days, so he came along with us.  Summer slipped away too quickly this year... We sneaked in some sleepovers and dinners out before the summer clock struck midnight.
Building an extensive blanket fort at a sleepover at Grandma's.  She would have wanted it that way.

Enjoying 5 Guys on a Daddy Date

And Cheesecake Factory as a family
CiCi's with cousins

Nothing like the CiCi's buffet to kids

Soph opted for salad; probably a wise call at CiCi's :)

We had fun with Brooksy for 5 days!

Pointe West never disappoints!
The weather was perfect

Brooks loved it

Relaxation

Brooks enjoyed throwing wet sand on Soph :)

The kids found a bunch of hermit crabs

Fun in the sun and ready for the new school year to begin (sort of)!

Summer Vacation Part 3 -- Fishing, Horseback Riding & Hiking

In Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, we hiked, we fished, we picnicked, we rode horses, and we had a lot of fun!
