Fun Getaway!

Stephen had a law conference at the Broadmoor in Colorado, and I came along.  It was a lot of fun. They pampered us (spa treatments every day), fed us (too) well, and planned fun excursions for us (Pike's Peak adventure and Segway tour of the Garden of the Gods).  Great times!

Weekend Fun!

The girls and I watched some Friday Night lights at the Skyline Homecoming football game (well, Em and I watched as Sophie and Bella hung out with their friends).

Meanwhile, Harrison and Stephen went to the Fathers and Sons Campout in East Canyon and had fun with the other members of our ward.

Then on Sunday we had the Macs over for dinner and went on a mini hike in Big Cottonwood Canyon around Silverlake.  Beautiful!

A Boys Weekend

Stephen's best friend came up for a boys weekend before he heads off to Africa with his family for a couple years for a work assignment.  They went fishing and to the BYU/Utes football game and had a lot of fun.  Godspeed, Brian and Kelli!

Labor Day Camping in Scenic Heber Valley!

It was a little chilly at night, and the ground was a little rocky, but we persevered and had a family bonding experience in Wasatch State Park near beautiful Heber Valley, where many of my ancestors on my Dad's Mom's side lived and are now buried.

Eight?!

How is it possible?  Our Hurricane Ike Baby is eight years old!  She picked Cheesecake Factory to celebrate as a family and then had a friends party the following weekend.  Love our little Emmers!!

Settling In . . .

I got to eat lunch with this beautiful girl at her school

We ate at the Lion House on Saturday because the lines were too long in the summer when we went to Temple Square

Harrison wanted to capture a cool pic of the Eagle Gate, and he did a good job

We toured the Beehive House too

And the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and the Church History Museum while we were there

 

On Sunday, we had friends and family over for dinner

And had a wonderful time

She will be taller than me soon  :-o

And she won her first tennis match with the Skyline Freshman team against rivals Highland
