Strepsgiving

We were supposed to spend Thanksgiving with these guys in South Carolina.

But Sophie got strep late last week, then I got strep over the weekend, then Emme got it and a double ear infection at the beginning of the week, and then Bella got strep a day later. Driving for 15 hours lost its feasibility and appeal by Tuesday, the day we were supposed to leave. On top of that, Harrison has been battling a recurring sinus infection. So everyone but Stephen was pretty sick and on antibiotics all week. Even Stephen hasn't been 100%, but he hasn't been sick enough to require antibiotics (yet).

While we were at home for the week trying to recuperate from all of the illness, we picked the oranges from our orange tree in our backyard. We probably got over 100 oranges this year! Here we are making some yummy homemade orange juice. The kids have all brought oranges to their teachers at school now that they are back from the break (we are trying to find places to use our oranges)!

Here we are on Thanksgiving Day all dressed in our Aggie attire for the big game against t.u. Needless to say we had fun watching the game and were excited with the outcome. We were well enough by Thursday afternoon to join up with most of Stephen's family for their traditional Thanksgiving feast and movie. Thanks to the McMurray's for hosting again and letting us crash the party at the last minute!

The day after Thanksgiving we tied the kids' Christmas wish lists to Santa on a helium balloon and watched as it took off for the North Pole in the night sky..., this is a fun tradition we do every year.
