Happy Fourth!

We had a family party/gathering at our house this year for the Fourth, at which the kids put on an Americana tableau under the direction of Stephen's sisters.  They dressed up for the parts and did a great job!  We also swam, ate too much food (thanks to Cort for the yummy brisket, ribs and sausage!), and played games.  Sing Party (karaoke) on the Wii U was a big hit, as were Sophie's Dollar Store raffle prizes!  Good times!
Emme was "Aunt Sam" in the tableau.  Here she is in dress rehearsals at Grandma Sarah's house.

The play in process at our house.  Harrison was George Washington.  He maintained this stoic posture throughout.

Sophie as Lady Liberty during dress rehearsals.

Bella as Pioneer Woman.

Henry as Davey Crockett.  Notice Harrison still rocking the stoic GW pose.

Jacob was a frontier cowboy.  Annie Jane was a pioneer baby.  She is down on the ground crawling around in a little bonnet.  Noah was the narrator and did an excellent job.

"Ohhhh say can you seeeeeee?

Good food.

Good guests.

More good food.

And more good guests.

Even though I am by the salad, I am probably eating another bite of Erin's delicious homemade M&M cookies.  :)

So cute!

There are those cookies and other yummy desserts.
