Antelope Island

We went to Antelope Island last weekend on a gorgeous Saturday and saw hundreds of Bison.  Antelope Island is in the middle of the Great Salt Lake and has interesting wildlife, topography, and beautiful vistas!

 

Emme's Big Performances and Skiing in Park City!

Emme performed T-Swift's "Shake it off," piano and vocals, in the school talent show.  Instagram has the video footage. It is super cute.  :)  She also performed in the 3rd Grade production of "Yo Leonardo," and she got her ears pierced all in the space of a couple of weeks!  (She had them pierced before but the holes closed up and she was scared to do it again).  Harrison came along for big brother support and held her hand.  :)  Stephen and I went skiing in Park City and stayed at the Waldorf Astoria resort.  Skiing is hard.  We fell a few times but also had a couple decent runs.  I was better at it than Stephen!  He is too controlling and won't just let the skis do the work.

 

Bella is really taking to cooking and baking.  She made this cake all by herself, and it was yummy!

40th B-day in Hawaii!!

One of the Christmas gifts Stephen gave me was a Hawaii trip during my 40th birthday week!  We just got back, and it was an amazing trip!  We stayed on the island of Oahu at the Moana Surfrider resort, which is right on Waikiki Beach, and we did a lot of fun and relaxing activities on Oahu.  We laid out on the beach, swam in the clear blue ocean water, hiked Diamond Head crater, snorkeled and saw a huge sea turtle and many exotic fish in Hanauma Bay, went to the North Shore and saw the huge waves, went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, attended a luau, saw Pearl Harbor, ate too much, and did some tourist shopping.  The weather was perfect, and the trip went off without any hitches.  So thankful for the opportunity to go!!

What a difference a 6.5 hour plane flight makes!
