Christmastime is here!

Happiness and cheer.

If you can believe it, we got appreciable snowfall on Friday December 4, the earliest recorded date for snow ever in the Houston area. Must be that "tricky" global warming thing again. Whatever the cause, it was pretty cool!

The kids, of course, had a blast making snowballs and catching big snowflakes on their tongues. The snow only stuck around for a day, but it was a great way to welcome the Christmas Season. We are not holding out hope, but apparently early weather forecasts show a slight possibility for more white stuff in these parts around Christmas day. That would be doubly neat!

In other Holiday news, the big girls were part of a little singing group with some other kids from the ward, and they put on a performance at the church on December 8. They both hammed it up and sang their hearts out! Well done, Pups and Blue!

The usual hustle and bustle of the season has been heightened this year because I was just called to be the Primary President for our ward. We have over 100 kids in our primary, so I am both excited and overwhelmed! So much to do, and with 4 little kids, so little time, especially during the Holidays. But I have great counselors and support, so it will all work out I am sure.

We are getting very excited for Uncle Kuey and Aunt Holly to arrive for Christmas! And since our decorations are up, cards are sent, and stockings hung, and since Santa is getting his sleigh finalized with toys and goodies for the kids, the feel of the season is truly taking hold in our home.

Here's to hoping this year brings a very merry Christmas to all!!
