I just love little Em's ballerina swimsuit! Although the day's festivities went well, remind me next time not to give whistles in the goody bags. Bella has been wanting a whistle for a while, so I decided to put a little plastic whistle in each goody bag. Man those suckers are loud! Stephen and I have been treated to nearly non-stop whistle blowing from our kids since the end of the party. I would not at all be surprised to learn that whistles are used in advanced interrogation sessions.
But I digress. I can't believe Bella is 6! Blink of an eye. We love you Blue Girl!
Keeping somewhat with the theme from the previous post, Bella has said some more funny things lately that I want to record for posterity. For her birthday, among other things, she got a mood bracelet that changes colors. After getting in a tiff with her older sister in the car on Saturday, she asked what the color green on her bracelet represents. The chart said something like "cheer." Bella responded, "Well, I feel angry. What color is angry?"
Then in family home evening a couple nights later, after a lesson on serving others, I asked if the kids knew anyone at school who was lonely or could use a friendly smile. Bella replied, "I can't think of anyone but me." Classic Bluey.
