Catch Up

Too many things going on lately, and blogging has taken a back seat. April 28 saw Bella's 7th birthday come and go. We celebrated a few days later at Chuck-E-Cheese with friends and family! Harrison gets freaked out by costumed characters like Chuck-E, so he stayed on the other side of the restaurant with my cousin Brandon, who was kind enough to be his personal pal throughout the party. Thanks, Brandini!

Still trying to get everything settled in the new house, though things are taking shape nicely. Hopefully I will have some good before-and-after pictures to post soon. Just waiting on the arrival of a few more touches from one of my new favorite vendors!

So far this summer we have been getting maximum usage and enjoyment out of the pool in the backyard of our new house (especially in light of the hot, hot heat around here lately!) and out of the movie room in our garage (Stephen likes to refer to it as his mancave), where we watch movies and play Wii. I must admit, it has been a nice way to keep 4 little kids entertained, as we have had numerous friends and family members over to swim, play games, and watch movies. And now that Stephen got a grill for Father's Day, we will probably spend even more time out back!

We have a couple of mini trips coming up, the kids have done a couple of Bible Schools and have a couple other day classes on the horizon, and we have already made our yearly pilgrimage to the Blue Bell factory in Brenham with my mom. So Summer is shaping up after a trying Spring. Hope yours is going well too!
