Disney Cruise Part 1

We are back from our 8 day adventure aboard the Disney Magic, a cruise that included stops in the Bahamas at Disney's Private Island -- Castaway Cay, Disney World itself, and the Florida Keys.  What a blast we had!  There was so much packed into these 8 days that I will have to divide up the posts into a few parts.  Here is part 1, which includes the onboarding and first couple of days at sea:
All aboard!

The Disney Magic is the first of Disney's four cruise ships.

This picture is actually from later on in the cruise when we were at Castaway Cay, but it gives a good look at the ship.

On the shuttle to the cruise.  Excited!

Exploring the kids' clubs.  As you would expect, there were great spots and activities for the kids on the ship.

One of our rooms.

More kids club fun.

One of the large theaters on board where we watched many fun and entertaining shows.

Sophie and I got picked to go on the Mickey Mania game show, where you have to answer Disney trivia questions.  Sadly we lost, but we had fun trying!

We hit the pools on the first day too.

They were crowded, though, so we didn't stay in too long.  Later on in the trip, the kids had a lot of fun going down the water slide connected to the Mickey pool.

We explored the upper deck of the ship and found the ice cream bar.  The ice cream bar would of course become a daily fixture for us.  :)

More kids club.

Enjoying the sun!

It was great fun to have Naomi along with us!  Sophie and Bella thought they were pretty special sharing a room with Nay on the ship.

We played some ping pong.

And some foosball.

Here is a partial picture of the fun water slide on the boat (the yellow twisting tube in the background).
