Girls Getaway and Mister Mom

Stephen surprised me with a trip to Washington D.C./Virgina to visit my brother and his family and to go to a Time out for Women conference with some ladies from my sister-in-law's area.  While the girls were at the conference, the boys got to be mister moms.  It was a very fun visit!  Thanks Jen and Taylor for hosting me!!
Jen and me at the TOFW conference in Richmond, Va. on Saturday.  Richmond is about 2 hours south of D.C.

Taylor doing his best to photobomb this pic, which was taken right after I arrived Friday morning.

Jen's actually taller than me, but my wedges give me the advantage in this pic.

Enjoying some football and ice cream on my last night there!

More TOFW.  Brenda is Jen's friend and shared our hotel room with us.  She is a hoot!
A group shot of the ladies we went with.  We drove down to Richmond together and back after the conference was finished.

Nolan and Colton are growing up!  I wish we lived closer so they could play with Harrison often.  And Creighton warmed up to me on this trip.  He was giving me lots of kisses and didn't want me to go!

Stephen held down the fort at home for a few days solo.  Let's see how he fared.

Kids dressed and ready for school, dropped off, and picked up on time?  Check.

Soph was a big help getting everyone out the door Friday morning with the proper backpacks, lunches, snacks, clothes, shoes, hair dos, etc!

Kids eating nutritious, homemade meals?  No comment.

Dad playing with the kids at the park, having a movie night,  wrestling with them in the pool, and getting them to church on time?
Check.

Check.
And check.

In between these smiling pictures, there may or may not have been several moments filled with drama, threats, tears, bribes, pizza, sugar, more pizza, more drama, and some timely assistance from his extended family!
