Courageous, Faithful, Remarkable Kids!

All of the kids gave a Book of Mormon to one (and in some cases more than one) of their teachers at the end of the school year.  They did it on their own (well, Em had a little help ;).  They told their teachers that the book was special to them and that the teachers were special to them and that they wanted to share.  The results were amazing.  One of Bella's teachers teared up and told Bella that she had made her week, month, year, and life!  One of Sophie's teachers also teared up and wrote a beautiful thank you note to Soph.  Harrison's teacher gave him a hug and started reading the book, as did Emme's teacher.  I am so very proud of each of them.  By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.

I also had a tremendous missionary experience involving one of my coworkers at the school this year.  Several weeks ago, she informed me that she was investigating the church and that she had been watching me throughout the year and that my inner peace and demeanor made her want to learn more about the gospel.  She and her husband had purchased their home from members of the church and had neighbors who were members.  They had interacted with the missionaries some too through service the missionaries provided them, but she told me that my example motivated her to start studying with the missionaries and going to church.  She and her husband are being baptized next week!   Obviously, I take no credit for myself.  It is just a reminder that people are always watching and that the Spirit guides and directs people in the paths of truth and goodness.
