Easter Festivities

We had a busy Easter weekend! On Friday we attended the Niko's annual Easter party, where a ginormous jumper/bouncer and egg hunt kept the kiddos occupied for hours and catered fajitas and ice cream cake satisfied everyone's appetite. A late night bee sting on Bella's forehead introduced some unwelcome drama at the end of the party, not so much because of the bee sting itself, which was moderately painful, but mostly because of Bella's history of allergic reactions in general, my history of allergy to bee stings in particular, and the unknown of whether this sting would produce a serious reaction in her, which thankfully it did not. Despite the ending drama, the party was a lot of fun. A big thanks to Deb and Mo for this annual treat!!

The next morning, we went to Rice University, where my mom works, for their annual Easter Egg Hunt for employees' families. After the hunt, we went to lunch at Jason's Deli in Rice Village. Then we went to a fun park near West U. and let the kids play for a couple of hours. Somewhere between 10:30 pm and 7:30 am, the Easter Bunny and crew came to our home, bringing small gifts, candy, and unparalleled egg-hiding skill.

As such, Sunday necessarily started with Easter gifts, candy, and a final egg hunt. Then Granny V came over for the early session of General Conference and stayed for a nice lunch. After the last session of Conference, we went over to Stephen's parents' house to let the kids have some final play time with their cousins before the long weekend concluded.

Below are some more pictures from Easter weekend:
