Sophie's Easter Poem

The other night at Stephen's family's house, Sophie said that she wanted to write an Easter poem to help me with my sharing time during Primary at church the next day. She wrote the following words without help or reference sources in about 2 minutes. When she read it to everyone, it brought tears to many people's eyes. I know we are biased as family, but this strikes me as an amazing poem for a barely-eight-year-old to write! Here it is:

Jesus, Jesus

Who do we know?

Who is kind?

I will tell you a little rhyme.

What stone was rolled

By the tomb?

Mary, Mary nothing of doom.

Jesus, Jesus He is the one.

He is special, He is the Son.

Angel, Angel who rolled a heavy rock.

Behold it is Jesus!

See Him walk!

He died for us.

We love Him so.

That's why He came.

That's how I know.
